Resolution
WHEREAS, a section of the Pohakea Homestead Road, as shown in red on
attached plan, has been realigned; and
WHEREAS, the old government road, as shown in yellow on attached
plan, encroached unto private property and due to the realignment is no longer
of any use to the County of Hawaii;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the old government road shown in yellow on attached plan be and is
hereby declared abandoned as a roadway and any interest that the County of
Hawaii may have in said abandoned roadway be quitclaimed to its rightful owner.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Public
Works of the County of Hawaii.
