WREREAS, Wallace Luck, Sr., a dawai.ian Homes Farmer was selected
Waiakea Soil and Water Conservation District's top co-operator by
the Soil- Conservation Service (SCS) Director; for 1931, a selection
made from the 156 SCS members in the Uniak ea District; and
tilHER`:AS, farmer Back is oaing recognized for accomplishments in
developing his pasture and macadamia nut orchard at his Panaewa fare
lot operation bordering the Aailrotd Avenue in ,daiakaa; and
e REiRE:AS, Hr. Beck, a co-operator for the last 18 years, worhod
closely with SCS and the dist'r'ict in Solving conservation problems
by making good use of the Agricultural Cost Sharing Pro;;ram (ACP) in
renovating pastures and :in installing cross -fencing, pipes an -1
troughs in carrying out a sound conservation program; and
1HEKAS, the ACP annual cast sharing is 75 percent contribution
by the J.S. Department of Agriculture, a maximum of $3,500 and the
participating co-operator's share is A percent, a maximum of:
$1,167, making a total cost sharing of up to {$4,057 per year.
