RESOLUTION NO. 258 8A
WHEREAS, the Konawaena Wildcats have for the second year in a row
won the 1981 Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) football
championship; and
WHEREAS, this coveted title reflects well of the talents, the
dedication and the enthusiasm of the players, the coaches and the
many supporters of the Konawaena football program which this year
registered an admirable nine victories and one loss season's record;
and
WHEXEAS, as further evidenc

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE, COUNCIL OF TILE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to the Konawaena Wildcats'
football team and to Jim Barry and his entire coaching staff for a
well-deserved championship and for making the 1981 BIIF football
season an exciting and successful one.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
instructed to remit true copies of this resolution to the victorious
Konawaena Wildcats' football team; to Coach Jim Barry; and to
Principal Morris Kimura with the County Council's wishes for future
successes.
