NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized
to adopt street names for unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii
pursuant to Section 4.03, Article 2, Chapter 9, Hawaii County Code;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of
November 18, 1981, approved the following names for certain unnamed
roadways in Sunrise Ridge Subdivision, Units 1-A & 1-B, Kukuau 1st,
South Hilo, Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
said roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be
named as follows:
Sunrise Ridge Subdivision, Units 1-A & 1-B, Kukuau 1st,
South Hilo, Hawaii
Kukuau Street - Extension of existing street
Hueu Place - George D. Hueu, Alii to whom
the subject lands were awarded
during the Great Mahele
Kaulele Place - Soaring; to take flight
La Hou Street - New day
Ohukea Street - White cloud
