County of Hawaii - State of Hawaii
Resolution
WHEREAS, the Council of the
enhancement of the beauty of the
on-going objective of its people
and general welfare; and
County of Hawaii finds that the
Big Island is a constant and
which contributes to our economy
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has organized a county -wide
beautification campaign which unifies the efforts of individuals,
private organizations and government's direction and cooperation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it hereby declares the Big Island Beautification
Drive, "Ho'onani Hawaii" formally and officially underway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all laws and ordinances pertaining
to beautification as vacant lot clearing, anti -litter laws and
abandoned vehicle laws be observed and enforced.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that public construction and maintenance
be carried out henceforth with special emphasis on beautification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all county operations be carried
out with special emphasis and effort on beautification and that
the private sector be encouraged to participate in this campaign
by doing everything possible to attain these objectives.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be directed to circulate copies of this Resolution within County
departments and among community organizations.
