HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 238 Draft 01 1980-1984RESOLUTION NO. 238 81 WHEREAS, the South Kona Aloha Lions Club, a community -minded service organization, has since July 1 been effectively active in projects in the South Kona area; and WHEREAS, some of their noteworthy endeavors include the cleaning up of the Honaunau beach boat landing, the Hookena beach park, the Kealakekua Bay area, and the beautification of the grounds of the Honaunau Post Office; and WHEREAS, this dedication towards the improvement of the South Kona area reflects a high community pride as its project -a -month pace is indeed remarkable for this energetic 31 -member organization. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends its commendation to the SOUTH KONA ALOHA LIONS CLUB for their involvement in the betterment of the South Kona area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii remit a true copy of this resolution to Al Rivera and Sotero Bailado, President and Spokesman, respectively, of the South Kona Aloha Lions Club, along with its wishes for their continued success in community projects.
