WHEREAS, the people of the Big Island of Hawaii have built their
.come communities on a land of beauty and strength; and
Wx1MAS, t0g'othcr, we are proud to host our visitors; and
WHEREAS, we welcome with special aloha, groups who choose our
hotels and public facilities in which to meet and conduct their
business; and
4HEMAS, the Hawaii Council of Hawaiian Civic Globs, meeting in
conyvation at Anaheim, California, November 4-7, 1981, is promot.i.n:-i
the .Big Island of Hawaii as the site for. the 1982 convention of the
Hawaiian Civic Clubs; and
OM".�i,'7', it is appropriate that tiie County of Hawaii join in
inviting the convention to our Sic; Island of iaciaii, knowing 011
well the benefits of welcoming such an important and active group to
our community.
NOW) THEREFORE, K IT R&OLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY 02

Big Island of ilawaii to the members of the Hawaiian Civic Clubs
mseting in convention at AaahE'.im, California, and further urge their
selani.on of our spacial place as the site for the 1952 Convention of
;.he Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
BE IT FUUTH R MSOLVED that the Clerk of tha County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to the Hawaiian Civic Clubs
at Anaheim and to the Hawaii. Council of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
