Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:

FEDERAL/STATE/COUNTY-PROJECT FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS (EXHIBIT D)
PART-TIME
SECTION 8.09 (e). ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
Senior Community Service Employment Program
1. Change the rate of pay of Senior Community Services Aid
from $3.35 hourly to $3.60 hourly, effective January 1, 1982.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Parks and Recreation, Finance and Civil Service for
their information.

Request is to grant a 25C increase in hourly wage for all Senior
Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) enrollees classified
as Senior Community Services Aid. The increase will move the wage
rate from $3.35/hour to $3.60/hour.

The wage adjustment was recently authorized by the SCSEP Prime
Sponsor, the State of Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations. The new wage rate authorization is effective January 1,
1982. Federal funds are available from Title V, Older American
Act grant to cover the cost of the wage increase.
