DETERMINING THE REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1981, TO JUNE 30, 1982.
WHEREAS, Section 248-2,Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended,
provides that the Council of the County of Hawaii shall by
resolution fix a single tax rate for real property for the tax year
for which property taxes are to be raised;
WHEREAS, The Council has taken as a basis for calculating the
real property tax rate for the County of Hawaii the following
aggregate values of real property in the County of Hawaii assessable
for tax purposes as of April 29, 1981, certified and furnished by
the Director of Taxation of the State of Hawaii:

WHEREAS, the amount to be raised from real property taxes for
the fiscal year July 1, 1981 to June 30, 1982, is the sum of
$31,132,234; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County! of Hawaii has determined
that the tax rate certified by the State Tax Director shall be
increased, has advertised its intention to increase the rate, and
u
has held a public hearing concerning such determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the tax rate for real property for the tax year
1981-82 shall be $17.90 per $1000 of assessed value of taxable
real property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Director of Taxation of the State of Hawaii as
required by law.
