WHEREAS, the Hawaii Federation of Business and Professional
Womens Clubs, Inc., will conduct its State Convention at the
Quality Inn - Hilo Lagoon Hotel for the period of May 1, 2 and 3,
1981; and
WHEREAS, there will be over 200 women from throughout the
State of Hawaii who are affiliated with the National Federation of
Business and Professional Womens Clubs, Inc. which is the largest
working women's organization with over 165,000 members; and
WHEREAS, the 1981 Convention will combine the State's theme
of "Time for TogetAerness BPW Ohana" and the National's theme
entitled "Decade for Decision, Time for Action ink,Energy, Health and
Economics" to brina out a timely focus on these important matters of
current concerns of the people of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS such a State Convention will generatemuchneeded business
for our tourist industry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it commends the Hawaii Federation of Business and
Professional Womens Clubs, Inc., for their civic -minded efforts to
better our communities and wish them continued successes in all of
their endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Iiawaii is
instructed to remit true copies of this resolution to Mrs Louise K
Northwood and Mrs. Shirley Freeman,
Ms. Hazel Sutherland, President of
