Subject: Request Update from the Department of Finance on Resolution No. 105-09
Relating to the Negotiations for the Immediate Purchase of Open Space Properties
Using the Two Percent Open Space Preservation Fund
I am requesting 30 minutes for an update on the current status of the negotiations for the
immediate purchase of open space properties using the two percent open space preservation
fund, as per Resolution No. 105-09.
In particular, I would like an update on the following requested land acquisitions:
- Kawa`a: Appraisal done according to federal guidelines and amount of appraisal
- Pa`o`o: Progress on negotiations with willing sellers
- Kaiholena: Status update
- Puapua`a: Communication with sellers and the result of this discussion
Please refer this matter to the appropriate committee for the September 15, 2009, agenda.
