Re: Resolution Transferring Funds
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $955,123.86 out and from the Data Systems
Department's Wireless E911 System account and crediting it to the Police Department's
Wireless E911 account. In 2007, the Data Systems Department initiated a contract to
hire a consultant/contractor to perform a service for the Police Department with E911
wireless grant funds. Since then, both departments have agreed that due to the nature
of the contract, the changes that need to be made, the host agency (Dispatch)
requirements, and to keep the process more seamless, it would be best for the contract
to be moved to Police Department.
As such, the resolution transfers the remaining funds associated with Contract
#C.001545 from the Data Systems Department to the Police Department.

A. REQUEST:
To prepare a resolution to transfer funds ($955,123.86) from Data Systems Department (acct#
010.118.5118.22 - Wireless E911 System) to the Police Department (acct# 010.201.5216.21 - Wireless E-
gli).
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
In 2007, Data Systems Department initiated a contract to hire a consultant/contractor to perform a service for
the Police Department with E911 wireless funds. Since then, Police and Data Systems have agreed that
due to the nature of the contract, changes that need to be made, the host agency (Dispatch) requirements
and to keep the process more seamless, it would be best for the contract to be moved to Police.
As such, we are requesting to move Contract #C.001545 and its corresponding funds (Ordinance No. 07-
101) from Data Systems Department to the Police Department.
