'WHEREAS, on November 22, 1980, the Boys' Club of Hilo
Pop Warner Pee *dee team set a sporting precedence by winning
the 1980 State of Hawaii Pee Wee Division Football Championship;
and
WHEREAS, the 1980 Pop Warner Football Tournament was held
this year at the Kahalui War Memorial Stadium on Maui, where
the Boys' Club of Hilo defeated a good Kauai team for the Pee Wee
Division title, the first ever for a Big Island Team; and
WHEREAS, such a sporting feat deserves recognition and
commendation to each of these young men, their coaches, their
families and the many supporters of Pop Warner Football.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it extends congratulations to the following .team
members: William Amaral, Jay Auw ae, Tracy Blanscet, Allen Chew,
Deanny Crane, Todd Crozier, Eric Del Mar, Eric Duponte,
Patrick Ferreira, Robert Iopa, Kekau Kaaihili, Russell Kapuras,
Jerry Koizumi, Sherwood Lau, Willard Leong, Shelton Mahi,
Keoni Manliguis, Chad Moffet, Romeo Padilla, Robert Ratliff,
Jason Rea, William Simao, William Tabacol, Keith Tallet,
Toro Valentine, Mike Victorine, Bruce Ferreira, Kyle Robertson,
Peter Kim, David Seagraves, Sean Weber, and their coaches,
Shell Blanscet, Phil Valentine and Keith Kim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be instructed to remit true copies of this resolution to
Leroy Victorine, President of the Board of Directors of the
Boys' Club of Kilo; Al Kaaihili, Pop Warner Big Island Commissioner;
and Shell Blanscet, Phil Valentine and Keith Kim, coaches of the
1980 State of Hawaii Pop Warner Pee Wee Division Champions, Boys'
Club of Hilo,
