Resolution
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following department:
SECTION 8.03. OFFICE OF THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
1. Add one new position of Deputy Corporation Counsel LS -5.
FEDERAL AND STATE FUNDED -EXEMPT POSITIONS (EXHIBIT B)
SECTION 8.03. OFFICE OF THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
1. Delete Section 8.03 and one position of Deputy Corporation
Counsel LS -5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Corporation Counsel, Finance and Civil Service for
their information.

Newly authorized programs, basis for .increased workloads, etc.):
The State CZPI office has decided not to fund any Deputy Corporation
Counsel positions after October 31, 1981. The duties of the proposed
new deputy position will be the same as that of the deputy being funded
through the CM program. These duties include all assignments
originating from the Planning Department and.Planning Commission or
relating to land use questions.
2. If reallocation, list only new duties. (Example: 1. Takes
dictation 40%; 2. Keeps offf-rice accounts 30%, etc.),

The proposed new deputy position was not budgeted because
it was not known that CZM funding would be terminated. County
funding for fiscal '81--82 would be required for an eight-month
period --November 1, 1981 through June 30, 1982, a total of $17,656.
