RESOLUTION NO. 178 99
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A WATER COOLER
WHEREAS, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation has donated a wheel chair accessible water cooler drinking
fountain to be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation at its Hoolulu Complex in the Afook-Chinen Civic Audi-
torium; and
WHEREAS, the water cooler has an estimated value of $483; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in accor-
dance with Article XHI, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is author-
ized to accept the water cooler.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Roy H. Fujimoto, Executive Director, Big
Island Interscholastic Federation, P.O. Box 4160, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
