ORDINANCE NO.
100 BILL NO. 102
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 09 -48, RELATING TO THE
INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF TI1E COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 09 -48. Section 3, is amended by amending
subsections (a) and (b) of section 5-2.1.1 to read as lollows:
"(a) The " International Energy Conservation Code ". March 2007 Edition.
published by the INTERNATIONAL. CODE COUNCIL, INC.,
Publications, 4051 \Vest Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills. 1L 60478 -
5795 [and amendments as set out in section 3(a)I, is adopted by reference
and made a part of this chapter. subject to the amendments hereinafter set
forth in this article.
(b) Copies of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. March 2007
Edition. and amendments thereto shall he available Ibr public inspection at
the department of public works and the office of the county clerk."
SECTION 2. Items (1) — (15). as located in Section 3 of Ordinance No. 09 -48. shall not
be affected by the enactment of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material. and underscoring need
not be included. •
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of
the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application. and to this,
end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
