RESOLUTION NO. 186 99
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION
WHEREAS, Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. has donated $3,000.00 to be used by the Department of Parks
and Recreation to pay for half of the soil covering mix for the refurbishing of the 90-foot baseball diamond at Kailua
Park in Kona; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in accor-
dance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is author-
ized to accept the monetary donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to W.R. Russ Simmons, Applied Technology
Solutions, Inc., P.O. Box 2803, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96745, aclmowledging this generous donation.
