ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAW AI'I COUNTY CODE 1983
(2005 ~DITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW AI'I:
SECTION 1. Purpose. To promote public safety and reduce the risk of traffic accidents
on thisnanow, winding road.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24~280, schedule 28 (No parking
at any time), paragraph (c), South Hila, of the Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as
amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as
follows:
"() Pi'ihonua Road, both sides, beginning from the northern terminus
of Bridge 25-1, extending .5 mile in the northwesterly direction."
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
