ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAW AI'I COUNTY CODE 1983
(2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW AI'I:
SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this amendment is to address public safety
Issues.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-281, schedule 29 (Parking
prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow-away zone), paragraph (c), South Hilo, of
, the Hawai'~ County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding the following,
to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
"() Pi'ihonua Road, both sides. beginning at the southern tenllinus
of Bridge 25-2 to the southern tenninus of Bridge 25-1,
between the hours 01'6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m."
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
