NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized
to adopt street names for unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii
pursuant to Section 4.03, Article 2, Chapter 9, Hawaii County
Code;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting
of May 7, 1981, recommends approval of the following names for
certain unnamed roadways in Ainaola Houselots Subdivision,
Units I and II, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the following street names were incorrectly typed
as Akalei Street, Ehehene Street and Halili Street instead of
Akalei Place, Ehehene Place and Halili Place and adopted as
Resolution No. 667 by the County Council on August 20, 1980;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
said roadways, be named as follows:
Ainaola Houselots Subdivision, Units I and II, Waiakea,
South Hilo, Hawaii
Akalei Place - String of multi -colored glass
beads. Lit., bead reflections.
Ehehene Place - To laugh merrily, giggle in
glee.
Halili Place - Sundial shell, members of the
solarlidae family.
