RESOLUTION NO. 224 8-1
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii annually holds an Outstanding
Employee of the Year program which honors employees for their
outstanding contribution through their work and community activities;
and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Juliette Tulang', Nutrition Coordinator in the
Department of Parks and Recreation.has been selected as the 1980-81
Outstanding Employee of the Year --Supervisory Category; and
WHEREAS, since 1974 the Nutrition Program for senior citizens,
under Mrs. Tulang's capable leadership has been expanded to,provide
hot meals for seniors, home -delivered meals by a "volunte.er corps,"
staff training orientation programs., an annual Family, -night project
and quarterly excursions and picnics; and
WHEREAS, Firs. Tulang maintains an active community service
role thorough participation in the.4-H program, the Big-Isle.Scouting
program, St. Joseph PTC, Hilo -Swim Club and Soccer Club.-
NOW- BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF 'THR' COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its congratulations -to Airs. JtilTette Tulang
upon her reception of the Hawaii County's Employee of-Ethe Year award
for 1980 -81 --Supervisory Category.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVER that �tfie Council expreRses its `sppr�s,-iation
and warmest malialo for her di3_igent?work as it has become an inspiration
for residents of Hawaii County and the State of flawaii as-14ell.
BB -IT FURTHER'RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Coun•ty•of.Hawaii
transmit a copy of this Resolution.to Mrs. Juliette Tulaxfg.:
