WHEREAS, three members of the Hilo Hongwanji Judo Club were
successful participants in the recently conducted Junior National
Judo Tournament of the United States Judo Federation held in
San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, Greg Yonemori participating in the 14 year --old division,
proved his prowess by capturing first place; and
1'HEREAS, other successful participants from the Big Island
were Sonya Momohara, third place in the 11 year --old division, and
Russell Kapuras, third place in the 13 year-old division,
NOTd, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it commends Greg Yonemori for his first place finish
in the 14 year --old division and that he continues his success in
the sport of judo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOEVED,that.Sonya Momohara and Russell Kapuras
also be commended for their thif•d place finishes in their respective
Age groups.
nE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Hilo Hongwanji Judo Club be
;congratulated for the_auccess of its members.
HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit true cosies of this resolution to Greet Yonemori, Sonya
Moinohara, Russell Rapuras and the Hilo Hongwanji Judo Club.
