Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 134, reports as follows:
Bill No. 134, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 491, dated
August 12, 2009, amends Ordinance No. 09-65, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 2010,
by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Mid-Level Road, 110.399.5397.77 $10,000,000
(Ane Keohokalole Highway) - Federal
Funds for these projects shall be provided from: $10,000,000
Federal Grants Receivable
This appropriation is being made in the event that additional stimulus monies become available for
this project. This project will construct a new major collector road from the intersection of Palani Road
and Henry Street to Hina Lani Street. The project is 100 percent Federally funded as part of
President Obama's Stimulus Program, so County matching funds are not required for construction.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 134, and recommends it
pass first reading.
