Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 473, regarding Resolution 221-09, reports as follows:
Resolution 221-09, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald A. Takase, via Communication
No. 473 dated August 5, 2009, accepts the dedication of Road Lot 47 (Akamai Street), Road Lot 48
(Aniani Street), Road Lot 49 (Aloha Place), and Road Lot 50 (Aniani Street) of Hualalai Vistas
Subdivision, being Tax Map Key: (3)7-3-007-027, situate at Kohanaiki, District of North Kona, County
and State of Hawaii, from Hualalai Vista, LLC.
There was no testimony from members of public regarding the proposed resolution.
Committee Chair Brenda J. Ford relinquished her seat to Committee Vice Chair Kelly Greenwell.

Ms. Ford made a motion to amend Res. 221-09 with a housekeeping amendment contained in
Comm. 473. 1, dated August 31, 2009. This motion was duly seconded and approved.
Article XIII, § 13-12 of the Flawai`i County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts, which
include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii.
Hualalai Vista, LLC is desirous of dedicating Road Lots 47 thru 50, including all subdivision
improvements.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 221-09, as amended to Draft 2, and recommends its adoption.
