Kokua Counseling Services, a FY2009-10 County non-profit grant recipient has informed the Finance Department that they will not be utilizing the funds. Therefore, the department solicited for applications and granted the award to a program administered by the Big Island Substance Abuse Council (BISAC). Comm. 517: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO (Res. 234-09) AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT GRANT FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT; and Recommends adoption of Res. 234-09: Ayes: Committee Members Enriques, Ford, Greenwell, Hoffmann, Ikeda and Chair Yagong. FC-15 Page 3 September 15, 2009 (Bill 145) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 (appropriates revenues of $99,567 in the Federal Grants - Victims of Crime Act - ARRA account; and appropriates same to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Victims of Crime Act - ARRA account. This Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act award will be used to provide assistance services to victims of felony and misdemeanor violent crimes) From Finance Director Nancy E.
