SUBJECT. Transmitting Resolution No. 220-09, Draft 3, Relating to the Labeling of
Genetically Engineered Foods

Attached is Resolution No. 220-09, Draft 3, which urges congress to pass legislation
requiring the labeling of all food products in the United States that have been genetically
engineered or contain ingredients that have been genetically engineered.
1 Resolution No. 220-09, Draft 2, was amended via Communication No. 472.6 and duly
approved by the Council on September 16, 2009.
Due to the amendments, this resolution is being held over for another reading and will be
heard at the next scheduled Council meeting.
