SUBJECT Resolution Requesting the Hawaii State Legislature to Amend Comprehensive
Public Funding Program for the County of Hawaii Council Elections.
Attached for your consideration is a resolution requesting the Hawaii State Legislature to take
immediate action upon reconvening for the 2010 legislative session, to amend the comprehensive
public funding program, to address specific objectives and goals for the implementation of a
comprehensive public funding program for the County of Hawaii Council Elections In
particular, the resolution requests that the Hawaii State Legislature raise the limit set for the
execution of this pilot program from $300,000 to $500,000 to better insure success of this
program
