RESOLUTION N0. 212 ~A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITS ^'HE STATE OF HAWAII, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A
CAREER CRIMINA_ PROSECUTION GRANT
WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii through the Department of
the Attorney General, has authorized funding for expenses to
prosecute crin~s of Career Criminals; and
WHERE A the funds provided by the State of Hawaii aie
derived from g~_=nts provided by the Hawaii State Legislature; and
WHERE=._ Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7,
reyuires that c:unty departments obtain the consent of the
council to en*_~- into agreements with the federal or state
governments res?~ecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the
powers granted law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds
or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be
undertaken gursuant to those powers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OE THE
COUNTY OF HAWAr7. that the Office of the Mayor is authorized to
enter into Neg^tiated Agreement for Grant Contract Number
00-CCP-4 with the State of Hawaii, Department of the Attorney
General.
BE I" FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the County of
Hawaii is auth~°ized to sign the above-referenced agreement and
any related do~~~ments on behalf of the Office of the Mayor and
the County of uawaii pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of
the Mayor, the prosecuting Attorney, and the Department of
Finance.
