Dear Mr. Mento:
State Civil Defense has withdrawn the Memorandum of Agreement for the FY 2006 Buffer Zone
Protection Planning Grant in order to execute a holistic approach to support Buffer Zone sites
across the State. The sites indicated through the original Memorandum of Agreement will still
be supported under this approach and will be integrated into a framework that can be utilized
by all law enforcement agencies.
Hawaii County will not be responsible for the management, contracting, or fulfilling of reporting
requirements for the FY 2006 Buffer Zone Protection Planning Grant.
