COUNTY OF HAWAII ~ STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 2~8 (10
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF WEIGHT ROOM EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, Honomu Village Association would like to donate weight room equipment to be used by the De-
partment of Parks and Recreation for the Honomu County Gym; and
WHEREAS, the weight room equipment consisting of 8-, 10-, 15-, and 25-pound pairs of dumbbells and a curl
bar have a total estimated value of $183.24; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in accor-
dance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is author-
ized to accept the weight room equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Orlando Smith, President, Honomu Village
Association, P.O. Box 394, Honomu, Hawaii 96728, acknowledging this generous donation.
