Subject: A Bill for an Ordinance to Amend the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 14, Article 1, Sections
14-2 and 14-2.2; Relating to Consumption ofIntoxicating Liquors at the Isaac Kepo'okalani
Hale Beach Park
Attached please find for your review a bill changing alcohol consumption provisions for Isaac
Kepo'okalani Hale Beach Park.
The bill removes the current provision allowing consumption of alcohol from 10:00 a.m. through
10:00 p.m. The bill further amends the County Code to require a permit for consumption of alcoholic
beverages at Isaac Kepo'okalani Hale Beach Park. The permitted hours would be from 10:00 a.m.
through 10:00 p.m.; permits obtained via the provisions of section 14-3.
The ordinance would take effect on January 4,2010.
Please place this bill on the appropriate committee agenda for those meetings scheduled for October 6,
2009. "
