To all County of Hawai'i Councilmembers:
Please support Bill 132 which advocates transparency in government.
Although I don't live in Hilo/Puna anymore, I am still concerned about the future of Hawai'i Island and
the well-being of the people. Even if! did not have roots and family there, it is important to me that the
people and land are treated fairly and not exploited, especially without their knowledge and consent.
Remember, if you sell the land, you've lost your opportunity to do the right thing for the community. In
selling the land, you lose all your options, and are bound to dealing with the consequences of the sale
and the new ownership, which comes with their own agenda.
As elected public servants, please serve the people well by being good stewards of the land. Don't just
go for the money. This will affect your children, your grandchildren and on through many generations of
all our families.
Vote yes for Bill 132, Transparency in Government.
