On September 15, 2009, the Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental
Relations amended Resolution No. 205-09 via Communication Nos. 421.1, 421.2, 421.3,
421.5, 421.7, and 421.8.
Please find attached factual information about the projects proposed in the above-listed
communications. This information was compiled from the respective CIP budgets
relating to those projects. The Legislative Research Branch believes that the additional
information may be helpful to those receiving copies of Resolution No. 206-09, should it
pass. The information has been formatted for inclusion in the proposed "Exhibit A" to
Resolution No. 206-09.

Kamana elderly housing project, residential areas, as
well as child care, military and church facilities.

To conduct an Environmental Impact Statement and (planning)
Preliminary Engineering Report (EIS/PER) to identify
alignment and design criteria for PMAR between Nanawale
Estates and Hilo with particular emphasis on identification
of a corridor alignment through Hawaiian Paradise Park that
presents the least adverse impact on existing developed lots.
PMAR will reduce the number of miles driven by
commuters, provide an alternate and shorter evacuation
route for Puna Makai, and help to reduce traffic congestion
in the area.
