RESOLUTION NO. 240 00
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-YEAR
AGREEMENT TO LEASE TWO (2) COPY MACHINES FOR THE OFFICE OF
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that
any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of
funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into multi-year
agreements to lease two (2) copy machines for the Office of
Housing and Community Development; and
WHEREAS, the bid specifications for the copy machines
require lease agreements for a period of five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development
has budgeted $13,000 for the lease of two copy machines; and
WHEREAS, the lease of the two copy machines will maintain
the efficiency and productivity of the Office of Housing and
Community Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that the Mayor is authorized to enter into multi-

year agreements for the lease of two (2) copy machines to be
utilized by the Office of Housing and Community Development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that sufficient funds be budgeted
in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligation of
the County under the agreements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Office of Housing and Community Development.
