AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COUNTY OF HAW AI'I GENERAL PLAN AS
ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 05 25 AND AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 06153 BY
AMENDING MAP 11 OF THE LAND USE PATTERN ALLOCATION GUIDE MAP BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM URBAN EXPANSION TO OPEN AT
KEALAKEHE, NORTH KONA, HAW AI'I.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW AI'I:
SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Map 11 of the County
ofHawai'i General Plan Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) Map in accordance with
Section 3-15, Hawai'i County Charter, and Section 16.2 Interim Amendments, Hawai'i County
General Plan adopted by Ordinance No. 05 25 and amended by Ordinance No. 06 153.
SECTION 2. The County of Hawai'i General Plan Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide
(LUP AG) Map is hereby amended to designate the area affecting state-owned lands in the
vicinity of and south of Honok6hau Harbor located at Kealakehe, North Kona, Island of Hawai 'i,
from "Urban Expansion" to "Open." All as shown on the map attached hereto, marked
Exhibit "A" and by reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this ordinance is declared invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
