RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE UNITED STATBS OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A FEDERAL SQUITABLB
SHARING AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the United States of America through the U.S. Department of
Justice, Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section, is desirous of
providing the department its equitable share of Forfeited cash, property.
proceeds for those investigations the department was participant; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to
proceed with its obligations under the Equitable Sharing Agreement; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46--7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes,
the Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the
County of Hawaii praviding the expenditures or receipt of Funds or for other
assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOGVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and designated to
sign in the name of the County, which will effectuate these purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RSSOLVF.D, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to
forward copies of this Resolution to said Mayor Yamashiro, the Chief of
Police, and any other interested governmental agencies.
