RESOLUTION
NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt the street names of
unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 2235, Article 2, Chapter 22,
Hawaii County Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of Apri120, 2000, approved the
names for the certain unnamed roadways within the Honomu Village, Honomu, South Hilo,
Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said
roadway, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows:
"Old Mamalahoa Highway" - commonly used name for the highway which
circled the island
"Honomu Road" - after the land division and Village
"`Akaka Falls Road" - after `Akaka Falls
"Stable Camp Road" - historically used name by the residents
Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 21st day of June , 2000.
