Subject: IMPORTANT - Tuesday 4pm EST H1N1 update call
Dear County Official colleagues,
The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs - with the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) - is inviting local elected officials to be on a
special call about H1N1 preparation at 4:00 PM (EDT) TOMORROW (Tuesday,
October 6).
We are.asking that you invite your county officials around the country and/or
their health representative onto the call.
The call will feature Dr. Nicole Lurie, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness
and Response, and Dr. Anne Schuchat, Chief Health Officer at the.Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Lurie and Dr. Schuchat will provide updates on the H1N1 Influenza
situation nationally, discuss available federal tools and resources, and
describe the status of the vaccination campaign.
