Regarding Resolution No. 237-09
I want to begin by acknowledging that this resolution is a pono/righteous resolution.
The State of Hawaii Bill of Rights states in article 1 that:
"All political power of this State is inherent in the people: and the responsibility for the exercise
thereof rests with the people. All government is founded on this authority."
Article 2 states in part:
"All persons are free by nature and are equal in their inherent and inalienable rights. Amoung
these rights are the enjoyment of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,"
Article 4 states in part:
"No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law,"
Resolution No. 237-09 supports and defends these rights.

"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) publicly asserts that 36,000 Americans
die every year from the flu. However, the CDC's own official records show that only a few
hundred people (in the U.S.) die from influenza on an average year."
According to the CDC more people die every year from asthma and malnutrition in the U.S. than
from the flu.
In the October 2006 British Medical Journal they state:
"An analysis of all pertinent influenza vaccination studies found that flu vaccines had little or no
effect on influenza campaign objectives- Hospital stays, time off of work, or death."
Master studies (studies of all previous studies) found flu vaccine to be ineffective in chidren
under 2 years of age, in healthy adults under age 65, and in people aged 65 years and older."
Who gets annual flu shots in the health care industry?
Doctors and Nurses: NO- 70% YES- 30%
Health Care Workers: NO- 62% YES- 38%
From my research and from my personal convictions there is not enough scientific evidence to
support vaccination as a viable method to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. It would be
more efficacious to focus on lifestyle changes and improving living conditions.
