RESOLUTION NO. '~~J6
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF ARED-MASKED CONURE
WHEREAS, Ted and Laurel Young, P.O. Box 372, Hakalau, Hawaii, has donated a one year old Red-Masked
Conure for the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the Conure, with an estimated value of TWO HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($240.00) will be
used for educational and display purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Pazks & Recreation is
authorized to accept the Red-Masked Conure.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Ted and Laurel Young, P.O. Box 372,
Hakalau, Hawaii 96710, aclmowledging this generous donation.
