RESOLUTION NO. 2~8 ~0
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWO HOLLAND LOP
RABBITS AND THREE GUINEA PIGS
WHEREAS, Andrew Urasaki of Stacey's Pets, 333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii, has donated two Holland
Lop Rabbits, and three Guinea Pigs for the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the Rabbits and Guinea Pigs, with an estimated value of ONE HUNDRED THIItTY FOUR
DOLLARS ($134.00) will be used for education and as petting zoo animals; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is
authorized to accept the Holland Lop Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Andrew Urasaki, Stacey's Pets,
333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
