SUBJECT: Presentation by Dr. Ron Wagner-Wright on Blindness and Visual
Impairment
Dr. Ron Wagner-Wright is the president of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB),
Island of Hawaii Chapter and the Director of the Hawaii Seeing-Eye Guide Dog
Charity. He has requested to do a presentation to educate the Council and the public on
blindness and visual impairment as well as the numerous services that are available to
those who are blind or visually impaired.
I would like to request 30-45 minutes for the above presentation during the Human
Services and Economic Development Committee on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
