Members of the Hawaii County Council, Hawaii County Council s~a 25 Aupuni Streeter Hilo, Hawaii 96720 r~+ Re: Disposition of County Owned Real Properties Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to dispose of real properties, Tax Map Keys (3)5-4-002-008 (Tank Site) AND (3)5-4-003-016 (Chlorinator Site), to the Water Board of the County of Hawaii. In 1961, the County of Hawaii obtained the aforementioned properties from the Kohala Sugar Company. Presently, the Department of Water Supply maintains the chlorinator site and tank site. The Water Board which now owns the reservoir located on property adjacent to the tank site, desires to expand its existing reservoir site and other water system facilities at this location, and plans to consolidate the tank site with its newly acquired reservoir site. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The Water Board of the County of Hawaii acquired TMK (3) 5-4-002:022 and plans to build a larger reservoir to serve the North Kohala area. Tax Map Keys (3)5-4-002-008 (Tank Site) and (3)5-4-003-016 (Chlorinator Site) are ownded by the.
