RESOLUTION NO. 313 00
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF CARPET FOR THE EDITH ICANAKAOLE
MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM
WHEREAS, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii would like to donate carpet to be used
by the Department of Parks and Recreation for the stage and risers at the Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium; and
WHEREAS, the carpet has a total estimated value of $1,696.00; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of
the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Department of Parks & Recreation is
authorized to accept the carpet.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Clyde T. Nekoba, Japanese Chamber of
Commerce & Industry of Hawaii, 400 Hualani Street, Suite 20B, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous
donation.
