RESOLUTION NO. 3Z,8 OO
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A MINIATURE
HORSE
WHEREAS, Mari-jo Allen has donated a Miniature Horse for the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the Miniature Horse, with an estimated value of TWO THOUSAND FNE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($2,500.00) will be used for educational and display purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends acceptance of this generous
donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that,
in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai i County Charter, it accepts the Miniature Horse.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mari-jo Allen, P.O. Box 2803,
Kamuela, Hawaii 96743, acknowledging this generous donation.
