SUBJECT: Transmitting Resolution No. 206-09, Draft 5
Attached is Resolution No. 206-09, Draft 5, which urges our State Legislature to support
and provide State funding for the highest priority capital improvement projects in the
County of Hawaii.
On November 4, 2009, Council Members amended Resolution No. 206-09, Draft 4, via
Communication Nos. 421.19, 421.20, and 421.21. At this meeting, Council Members
voted on the priority of each district's capital improvement project, and ranked them as
follows:
1. Puna Makai Alternate Route
2. Laupahoehoe Point Access Road Improvement
3. Na` alehu Fire Station
4. South Kona Police Station
5. Kawailani Street Improvements (`Iwalani St. to Pohakulani St.)
6. Kapi`olani Street Extension
7. Waimea District Park
8. Kamd'ili Road Paving Project
(Note: One Council Member did not submit a project.)
