Home My WebLink AboutORD 2009-130 2008-2010 +~v or COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 119 ORDINANCE NO. 09 130 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this amendment is to update the Hawaii County Code to keep it current with existing conditions. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255 (schedule 3. 25 mile per hour limit), paragraph (g), Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding the following subparagraphs, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: " O Alaula Street." O Ali`i `Anela Street. Ali`i Kane Street, from Hawaii Belt Road to a point 0.6 miles in the southerly direction. Ali`i Koa Street. Anuhea Street. O Mokuna Street. Old Volcano Road. Pa Ali`i Street." SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION S. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
