HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 331 Draft 01 1998-2000 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 331 0© RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER IN'F'O AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, 1pURSUANT TO HRS 46-8, FOR AN AGING INSTITUTE OF HAWAII GRANT WHEREAS, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of HaWai'i has authorized funding for a training institute on aging for the County of Ilawai'i; and WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-8, requires that county departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the state government respecting action to be tak¢n pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expand and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THI1, COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Office of the Mayor is authorized to enter into an Agreement with the Department of labor and Industrial Relations, to establish a training institute on aging in the County of Hawaii. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is,authorized to sign the above- referenced agreement and any related documents on behalf of the Office of the Mayo>f and the County of Hawaii pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution [o the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations; the Department of Finance, and the Office of Aging.
