RESOLUTION NO. 332 00
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE
FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPY MACHINE
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, Lase or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agrelement for five (5) years far one
copier for the West Hawaii Elderly Activities Division, Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this machine will reduce downtime, thereby improving productivity and efficiency of
the office staff for the Coordinated Services, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, ~pecial Programs, Hawaii County
Nutrition Program, Elderly Activities, as well as for the Aquatics and Fire Department personnel from Kealakekua and
Captain Cook.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUN?Y OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for the acquisition of a copy
machine for the Elderly Activities Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligation of the County under
the terms of the agreement.
