RESOLUTION NO. 272 09
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE.
THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPIER FOR THE OFFICE OF THE
CqRPORATION COUNSEL
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
reqUiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years for a
copier for the Office of the Corporation Counsel; and
WHEREAS, with the lease of their current copier expiring soon, obtaining a new lease on a newer, faster
copier that includes advanced technology will Increase productivity and allow the office to meet the demands
from the public, County clients and courts
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI"I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for a copier
for the Office of the Corporation Counsel.
2 That suffiCient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of
the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit a copy of this resolution to the Office of the
Corporation Counsel
